Question

I made eggs in a hole for the first time this morning for my family. I didn't have a circle cookie cutter, but I did have a heart shaped one. I need to practice at making them. The toast on the bottom got more done than I would have liked while waiting for the eggs to cook. Has anyone ever made eggs in a hole, and if so, what have you done to cook the eggs without burning the toast?
